Who We Are
Mountain West Builders has been building quality custom homes for 28+ years in Park City Utah. With a strong team of highly experienced employees, subcontractors, and vendors we have what it takes to build cost effectively and have a reputation for keeping our projects on schedule and on or under budget. We have earned a number of awards but most notable is Park City Showcase of Homes “People’s Choice Award”. We limit our new home projects to four per year and only take jobs in the Park City area. The owner Scott Richards manages the jobsites while his wife Jamie manages the office, allowing Scott more control over the many details in new home construction.
About Scott
Scott Richards has been in the building business for over 30 years specializing in custom homes in mountain terrain. Scott’s passion for building started early when he went to work for a Park City builder at the age of 15. He went on to become a journeyman carpenter and worked as a framer and finish carpenter before starting his own construction company. He studied Business Administration at Southern Utah University while working summers as a carpenter. Scott is a hands-on builder whose attention to detail plus his experience and knowledge has produced many beautiful homes. We believe every project is a unique opportunity to create a home that reflects the taste of the owner and takes full advantage of the building lot. As a respected builder in the Park City community, Scott’s integrity and quality work have brought many clients by word of mouth referrals. We believe a satisfied homeowner is the very best advertising for a builder.

Dedication to Our Clients
We limit our schedule to four homes per year and do not hire superintendents. Scott supervises our projects and with his wife Jamie managing the office they are an efficient team. Jamie also assists with design services.
